A New Chapter in the Kitchen
And our first post on Substack
For nearly 30 years, baking cookies has been my favorite way to share comfort and connection with the people around me. From fellowship treats at church to surprise cookies left on neighbors’ doorsteps, baking has always been how I celebrate, say thank you, and show love. Every Christmas, I joyfully bake as many as 100 different varieties to share with family and friends—a tradition rooted in generosity, joy, and a whole lot of Wisconsin butter.
Whenever possible, I use locally sourced Wisconsin ingredients—flour, butter, vanilla, eggs, and more. Supporting Wisconsin farmers is something I’ve believed in since childhood, when I was taught to check where products were made before making a purchase. Using local ingredients means better quality, stronger communities, and more care for our environment, and I’m proud to bake those values into every batch.
As a Wisconsin cottage bakery, each cookie is baked in our home kitchen with care and intention, then shipped or delivered within Wisconsin.
This space on Substack is where I’ll be sharing stories from the kitchen, seasonal baking traditions, behind-the-scenes glimpses of life as a cottage baker, and, of course, updates on the cookies themselves. Whether you’re here for recipes, the stories, or simply the comfort of something homemade, I’m glad you’re here.
Thank you for being part of this journey—one double batch of cookies at a time. 🍪
